Who is Tychicus?
Tychicus (tik’-i-kus) was one of Apostle Paul’s many ministry companions. According to the Apostle Paul, he was a “dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant” (Colossians 4:7). He is mentioned 5 times in the New Testament: Acts 20:4, Ephesians 6:21, Colossians 4:7, 2 Timothy 4:12 and Titus 3:12.
“Now that you may know how I am and what I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord [and His service], will tell you everything. I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are and that he may console and cheer and encourage and strengthen your hearts. Ephesians 6:21-22 AMP (Bold added for emphases.)
“Tychicus will give you full information about my affairs; [he is] a much-loved brother and faithful ministering assistant and fellow servant [with us] in the Lord. I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are faring and that he may comfort and cheer and encourage your hearts.” Colossians 4:7-8 AMP (Bold added for emphases.)
